Bringing structure to your day

It sounds so easy, but it's incredibly hard.. a good structure for your day to day live.

Especially now we spent to much time at home, it is important to have a good structure since going to places isn't as common anymore, and staying in bed is so easy! Well no worries, with these tips you'll create a kick-ass routine.

First of all, do you currently have a routine in place? If so, right down everything you love and want to keep on your routine. Also right down everything you like to get rid off!

Then, take a blank paper and write down all the habits you would like to include in your daily routine. Our tips?

  • You snooze you loose, set your alarm and hop out of bed. Too hard? Make sure you're alarm isn't within reach of your bed so you have to get out of your bed to turn it off... if you're out of the bed already, why go back?

  • Create a nice morning routine. Do you like meditating or yoga? Make sure you create some space in the morning to do your daily practise. Love juices or smoothies? Take care of yourself by making time to get your veggies in!

  • Working from home? Try to create a schedule. Make sure you have some coffee breaks, lunch at a set time and take a walk in the afternoon. You will see you're more productive and happier if you take breaks and some fresh air.

  • Exercise is so important, but we often make this way too big. Find a way of exercising that fits you. Taking a long stroll? Cycling through the city? Hitting the gym or a nice HITT work out? Make sure you like the way you exercise. It's really about the movement of your body. The great thing about exercises is that during exercise you release endorphins and they will help you feel more positive!

  • Great a night routine. Sleep is extremely important. Try to limit your screentime before you go to bed and exchange the screen for a book or audio book. Invest in nice lighting in your bedroom (our personal favourite is a Himalaya salt lamp) and create a safe and calm space where you sleep. It makes a huge difference!

  • Look at the lists you made in the beginning, about all your habits that you want to keep and the ones you want to get rid off. Make a new list of habits you want to implement in your life. Be patient, you don't need everything to change overday. Be gentle and patient and take one habit at a time. It takes 21 days to make some a habit! So stick through it and it will become easier everyday.

Don't be too hard on yourself, be patient and try to integrate one new habit at a time.
